Aves Coronavirus (Covid-19) information

 At Aves Optometrists your health has always been our concern and a good cleaning and sanitising routine is essential for our everyday practice. Due to Coronavirus we have put in place additional measures  to ensure you can have a safe and relaxing visit to Aves.

We have rearranged some of the practice to ensure good social distancing but we are still your local, friendly practice providing all your eyecare needs in a welcoming, safe environment.

To improve safety we are sterilising all areas after each patient contact, including all frames, and we have installed UVc lamps in our air conditioning units to help to disinfect and sanitise the air.

All staff will be wearing appropriate PPE. Your Optometrist will wear a mask, gloves and sometimes an apron, goggles or a face shield throughout your appointment.

To ensure we can follow social distancing guidelines effectively all visits to the practice will be by appointment only and we ask that, if possible, you attend either alone or with only one other person if assistance is needed.

Your visit to Aves

• All visits to the Practice (including collecting spectacles/CLs) will still be by appointment only and you will be required to wear a facemask throughout your visit. 
• Please ring the doorbell on arrival, the door will be kept locked to control numbers of people in each area of the Practice
• You will have your temperature taken with a non-contact thermometer and be asked to sanitise your hands upon entry.
• If you have experienced a temperature, cold or flu symptoms, or have been in contact with someone who has Coronavirus in the last 72 hours please call to rebook your appointment and do not come to the Practice.
