I am doing this to raise money for a charity called victa, Visually Impaired Children Taking Action, which given my profession seems an appropriate choice.
I originally set myself this challenge for a giggle, and simply because it’s there.

On Sunday 29th April, a team from Aves Optometrists jumped into their local pools to raise money for Marie Curie, Cancer Research UK and the Swimathon Foundation.
James Turner, Wendy d’E Vallancey and her 2 children, Samuel and Charlotte all swam 5K each in support of these 3 important charities.
