Irayna- Royal Parks Half Marathon

Posted on 17th Sep 2018

Irayna is running the Royal Parks Half Marathon on Sunday 14th October 2018

“On 20th February, my dear friend’s lovely Mum, Katina Barberis, fell ill and tragically passed away after a brave battle with sepsis. She left behind a husband, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren who are all heartbroken.

Earlier this year I won ballot place for the Royal Parks Half Marathon and have decided, rather than to run ‘just for fun’, that I would like to take part in the race in memory of Katina. I want to raise money in her name for The UK Sepsis Trust, and help raise awareness of this terrible illness.”
